Mitt Romney will be endorsing John McCain soon. He will not accept the VP nod.
Romney is the most interesting political character to watch this election season - outside of Obama/Hillary. Note that CPAC leaders met with Romney and think he could be a possible standard bearer for conservatives. Possible supporters include Keene and Weyrich.
I thought he would hold his Delegates and use them at the Convention to get some issues on the Plank and use some leverage. He has opted to unite and be the statesman for the Party instead. Interesting political calculation.Maybe the possibility of having the establishment support him in 2012 intrigues him. This will be intersting to watch. He is playing for 2012 already and that is good politics on his part.
I'm convinced he will not accept a VP nod if there is an offer. Reference my featured article on "The Coming Landslide", to see why I don't think it is a good idea for him to be the VP.
